Kaci
Cronkhite, Managing Director & Wooden Boat
Festival Director
Kaci served as Wooden Boat Festival Coordinator/Director, for the last four Wooden Boat Festivals. She also served as Interim Executive Director of the Wooden Boat Foundation from March 2004 and served on the Integration Team for the Northwest Maritime Center & Wooden Boat Foundation during the winter of 2004-2005. Kaci first stepped aboard a sailboat while visiting Port Townsend in the spring of 1992. Inspired by the location and experience, she returned to Alaska, began research on women captains and then spent the next eight years teaching women ocean passage-making skills on a circumnavigation of the world. That journey ended in Point Hudson and after 8 years living on sailboats, she moved ashore and took the helm of the Wooden Boat Festival. Kaci grew up on a cattle ranch in Oklahoma, then moved to Alaska where she served ten years in university, non-profit and social market research director positions. She hold a 100-ton Master's license; is sole proprietor of her own business, Concentricom; and has sailed more than 60,000 bluewater miles. She is passionate in her commitment to the legacy of three decades of Wooden Boat Festivals and all they inspire for connecting people, boats and saltwater through experiences in our community and
region.
