Professional Mariners - April 9-11, 2013
Commercial piracy is a burgeoning industry with an extensive history worldwide. Due to this unfortunate growth and presence, professionals in all aspects of international shipping and trade should be aware of how this can affect their business. The Centers of Excellence for Marine Manufacturing & Technology and Global Trade & Supply Chain Management, in partnership with the Northwest Maritime Center, are hosting a 2-day summit to achieve this awareness and help business professionals and educators understand the regulations, technology and training used, and how to mitigate or avoid circumstances that would put them or their goods in danger. The intention is not to raise flags or scare anyone, but to ensure preparedness and understanding of the world we live and do business in.
The audience for this event includes (not limited to) shippers, business owners who ship overseas, insurance brokers and underwriters, international lawyers, educators, and industry professionals interested in learning more.

Cost is $275 ($325 after March 15, 2013)
Registration will open February 25, 2013 - limited to 200 people.
